It tells the story of three very different families competing to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style villa that they believe will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano both appeared in the series Ice Age (2002-present). I was surprised that the series was rated so poorly, but it made more sense after reading many reviews explaining why they didn’t make it past the first episode. The series is a slow-burning mystery that may not appeal to everyone. Personally, I found it overly funny and entertaining with a tone specifically tailored to Liz Feldman that I enjoy. I really like the cast and everyone’s performances. At first, I wasn’t sold on Ray Romano because I was biased (I couldn’t separate him from Everybody Loves Raymond), but that went away pretty quickly. All the different characters have their own parallel stories, forming a tangle of chaos that gradually, if not completely, unravels. By the last episode, I was pretty engrossed in the story, even though I figured out the big twist early on. But I don’t mind. I’d love to see more of this series and I really hope there’s a second season. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly – here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows coming to Netflix this month.
